About

Growing up with previously undiagnosed Inattentive AD[H]D, Lena's creative practice focuses on finding new, engaging and more accessible ways of visualising the experience of being neurodivergent.

Her work is dedicated to the individuals who are affected by invisible disabilities and|or mental health issues themselves, those who are, yet are still unaware of it, and those who are open to learning about and celebrating variations of normal which may wildly differ from their own.

When researching and discussing her topics of interest – namely intersectional feminism, psychology, neurodiversity, mental health and accessibility — she gravitates strongly toward zines and graphic novels, as she occasionally struggles reading densely written books.

Because of this, in the future Lena wishes to create a graphic novel which is part guidebook to AD[H]D and part personal experience and storytelling and is currently looking into methods of funding her endeavour.

In her free time, Lena enjoys making music, creating miniature models, swimming, and dancing Blues.
